Dawn White, AMFT

🌿 My Approach

I find joy in helping others gather the pieces of their lives in meaningful ways, guiding them toward inner harmony. I believe that creating a safe and supportive space is essential for practicing self-compassion and reclaiming your voice in your own story.

I recognize that each person’s journey is shaped by their unique place in the world, and I take a holistic approach that integrates the physical, spiritual, relational, and emotional dimensions of life. I am especially drawn to supporting individuals who have experienced trauma, with a focus on the mind-body connection. I am also passionate about working with couples, helping them cultivate relationships that serve as safe havens through life’s storms.

🧩 Training & Methods

• Couples Therapy: I am Level One Gottman Method trained and certified in Prepare/Enrich for pre-engagement and pre-marital counseling

• Trauma Work: I am trained in Somatic Attachment-Based EMDR

• Therapeutic Frameworks: My practice is informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Narrative Therapy

My hope is that, through our work together, you will experience healthier relationships, feel more deeply connected to yourself, and find the freedom to authentically express who you are.

🎓 Background & Personal Life

I am a pre-licensed professional with a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Lipscomb University and a BA in Psychology. Outside of my practice, I enjoy spending time with my family, tending my garden, hiking woodland trails, and snuggling with my dogs.
